The spot, created to promote ticket sales for the 2007 Chick-fil-A Bowl game between Auburn and Clemson, features a football fan who has locked himself out of his car and calls an On-Star type of driver assistance service. Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators and corporate video departments in the world.

A prestigious judging panel of 27 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly, the top honor, upholds the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. Judges evaluate entries to recognize distinction in creative work - entries do not compete against each other - rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit, with Silver Tellys going to ads rating over 9.0 on a 10 point scale.

The award was founded by David E. Carter, a past Emmy and Clio winner, to honor excellence in local, regional and cable TV commercials. Non-broadcast video and TV program categories were soon added. Today, the Telly is one of the most sought-after awards by industry leaders, from large international firms to local production companies and ad agencies.

The Chick-fil-A Bowl is the ninth-oldest bowl game in the country and hosts the longest-running rivalry series between the ACC and SEC. In the last 16 years, the ACC and SEC are tied at 8-8 with only one point separating the two conferences in total points (SEC: 323, ACC: 322). Ten of the last 16 games have been decided by a touchdown or less. The Bowl also leads all other bowl games in charitable contributions, giving more than $1 million to organizations in need in 2007 alone.
